Now, He IS Funny

One of our favorites around here is Tim Hawkins. When Jeff lets the kids pick what "video" (Youtube clips) they get to watch, you can guarantee one of the kids will choose something of his.

He is a Christian.

He is funny,

and they even homeschool their four kids.

Which make him some good, clean entertainment.

After watching some of his youtube clips we decided to look and see if he was going to be in the area.

He was actually in the Denver area on a Saturday night, but the early show was sold out, but on the following Sunday evening he was in Colorado Springs.

Road trip!

Thankfully we were smart enough to get there early enough that we got decent seats. Wouldn't you know, at the beginning of May, we were dealing with freezing temps and snow, but the church was letting us in 1 1/2 hours before the show started.

Pre-Show

He is even funnier in person then in video.

After the show, the kids said,
"I don't care how long we have to wait, we have to meet him!"

These are some of my family's favorite clips:

A Woman's Touch

Love hearing my kids sing while they clean!

Their song of choice..."A Woman's Touch" from the 1953 movie of Calamity Jane, starring Doris Day.

It's good to have a feeling every now and then, that just maybe you might be doing something right. ;o) (I'm actually not talking about them cleaning, but that they are enjoying some old musicals that I call "classic"!)

Here's the original clip.

It IS a Wonderful Life

Here are a few things that help me remember "It's a Wonderful Life":

Yesterday- Tanner watching the clip of "The Cousin's Show"-
"Wow, I can't believe I'm on YouTube!"
I did inform him that it was just my blog...I'm not sure if he grasped the difference.

Today- getting out games to play, Tanner asks-
"Can you read the destruction's?"

Tonight- Kaylie praying at bedtime-
"...and help Adam and Eve not eat the fruit...' she opens her eyes and looks at me and starts talking so fast I only catch bits and pieces, 'Do you know why? Because of spankin's ...when they...makes me...???" Then back to praying, this time about Jesus dying on the cross.

My kiddo's make me smile!

Sleddin'

On October 30th, Jeff took the kids sledding. We had gotten 12-18 inches of snow a couple of days before and the sun was coming out and melting it all away. They spent several hours having fun.

Here are lots of pictures from the day. You can click on the pictures to enlarge.
