Poetic or Pathetic

This morning, Preston was taking a quiz in his Language Arts. He has been learning about poetry, which he really does NOT like! (Which I can't blame him because I've never liked it either.) On one section of his quiz he had to match words to their meanings. Some of the words were poetic rhyme, poetic expression, and poetic count and rhythm, as he was going through trying to find the meaning he was reading it as, pothetic rhyme, pothetic expression, and pothetic count and rythm. When he was saying it, the word sure sounded a lot like pathetic!

I found it funny because in his mind (and in mine) the words are interchangeable (which would be a synonym! ;oP )
