Today, we woke up to a few inches of snow on the ground. Spring??? Isn't that what this season is? I also woke up to a girl who was in pain, crying and being carried into my room by her daddy.
It was very hard to get the story of what happened but this is the best I can gather:
The kids were playing "pet shop" in the boys' room, Kaylie was bending down or trying to get something off the floor and her "leg bent funny". Jeff found her sitting on the floor in a tucked position and anytime her right leg was moved, whether slightly to the side or straightened, she screamed that it hurt. She was unable to stand and unable to lift her leg. The pain was only on the back of the knee.
She said it felt like her bone "poked out", she cried continuously for 45 min. I put a call in to the dr., gave her some Ibuprofen because I thought it could be a muscle or tendon cramp, and we started getting around to take her in to an urgent care.
At 9:20, right when I had a bag packed and was totally ready to grab her and go, she straightened her leg, got up and started running, pain free. I have no clue what it was... I have a couple of guesses but I'm sure we'll never know for sure.
The boys were a little upset that they got around for nothing so they still wanted us to take her to the doctor, but instead we decided to go and "Celebrate her healing!". We went out and enjoyed breakfast together...Kaylie chose Chick-fil-A.
