T.G.I.F.: Part 3

This should be the final post on my Esther study. If you haven't read Part 1 or Part 2, you might want to do that first.

Week 8:

• Every turn-around starts with a step.
• "Often when we thrill to the realization of a call from God, we picture going from our faces to our feet as He increasingly elevates our position. The reverse, however, is often truer in the earthly realm. To accomplish our call, we must be humbled far more than exalted."
• "Humans are adept at finding ways to make what we want seem all about God...He not only sees the desires of our hearts, but He also looks straight into the heart of our desires and knows when we're asking--even accidentally--for a false Christ." - OUCH!
• "Sometimes you and I are looking for someone to stand up and do what God wants us to do."
• Sometimes we have no idea why God is allowing us to go through such difficult times in a place we thought was His will. - Been there. Done that.
• "Covenant children of God are marked--even dressed--in ways obvious to both heaven and hell but invisible to man." - I'm so glad that my spiritual enemies can see Who I belong to!
• "We often speak of happiness as a less noble term than joyfulness because the former is circumstantial and the latter less conditional....but when God intervenes in our circumstances and we get a chance not only to know we're blessed but feel blessed, nothing is more appropriate than seizing the happy moment."
• "No witness is more effective than an undeniable observation that God is with us and has worked wonders in our behalf."

Week 9:

• God can't turn a table that was never set against you.
• Some of us remain in bondage because we're keeping our secrets to ourselves. There are some things meant to win as a team.
• Some of us just want someone to fight for us. Fight for your marriage, fight for your family, if in no other way, on your knees.
• An excerpt from The Queen and I: "When, because of your faith, your life too becomes perceptibly different; when your reactions are quite opposite to what the situation seems to call for and your activities can no longer be explained in terms of your personality; that is when your neighborhood will sit up and take notice. In the eyes of the world, it is not our relationship with Jesus Christ that counts; it is our resemblance to Him!" - WOW! Very eye opening and so true!
• "No matter what life--or Satan himself--hands us, the favor God has on His children causes that "lot" to tumble out on the table in such a way that, instead of destruction, the child will discover that her portion turned into destiny one trusting step at a time. When all is said and done, she will see that the portion God assigned her was good."
• "Deliverance always comes for the people of God. He can cause mountains to quake or simply keep kings awake."

If we are a child of the King, whether we are Overshadowed, Underrated, Overwrought, Under Qualified, Under Attack, Overanxious, or Over-responsible, we've got a God who'll turn it around!
