Dad Update

This will be real quick...

Mom and I are home getting a shower, changing clothes, and then headed back up to the hospital.

Dad did really good during the surgery. It actually ended up being a little quicker then they told us. He ended up have a double bypass because they couldn't find enough "good" veins in his legs because he has a lot of varicose veins.

Right now they are trying to get him stable. His blood pressure keeps going really low, which sounds like it is fairly normal to do that. He is also still on the ventilator, which they were hoping to get him off tonight...not sure if they will. I know some of this is normal, but I don't know how much isn't normal. Pray that he can stabilize quickly and he can get off of the ventilator.

Seeing him with tubes hasn't been too bad for me, but to see his eyes is the hardest. You can tell he's scared, he's in pain and he doesn't like the tube down his throat. My uncle, who went through this nine years ago, said that was the worst thing of the whole process.

I just heard the water turn off, I need to go and get ready to head back to the hospital.

Good things to Praise the Lord about!! We'll keep praying for his speedy recovery and his trust and comfort in the Lord. What a blessing that he has his loving, praying family gathered around him!!
