TIMBER!

Today we got to watch as our neighbors behind us, had their tree cut down. Naps were totally out of the questions because of the sawing right outside the boys' bedroom window. This tree was a HUGE Cottonwood. My first thought was how much shade our neighbors were going to lose when they cut this house down.

By the time the kids and I got home they had many of the branches already down but we got to watch the last few. Here is some of what we saw.

This is where the tree was at when we got home.

Watching from our yard.

We moved up to the tree house to get a better view.

There's always time to smoke on the job!

The kids watching.

One of my tree monkeys! The neighbors helping the "tree-cutters". They are pulling on a rope to help the branch fall away from the house.

A view of the tree, minus more branches.

The last of the "leaves".

Note the "Y" at the top.

The "Y" fell just so that it got stuck in the ground and is standing straight up, upside down. And another neighbor watching the "action".

Another section of the trunk.

Kaylie waiting, and really trying to talk her brothers to come inside to "dress up".

TIMBER! The rest of the tree goes down.

Holy cow! That's awesome how the Y landed like it did!

Too cool!
