From Part 1, it was obvious that their was some miscommunication. The coach and his wife had been in Africa the whole month of June so it was hard to communicate. The coach told us he didn't think anyone was going to be there (prior to leaving) and his wife told her son that she didn't think there was going to be anyone there.
Thursday morning, Jeff received an email from the coach informing him that the son was maybe going to come up that weekend and he gave Jeff the sons cell number to call him. Jeff tried calling the son, and he left a message saying we were willing to pack up and leave, but to call us back and let us know. Our decision was, to go ahead and clean and pack things up and to be prepared to leave. Once we were all done packing and cleaning and the fact we hadn't heard back from the son, we made reservations at a local motel with an indoor pool, because we had to have some kind of fun for the kids.
Jeff called to let them know that we cleaned and we were leaving. Come to find out, they had found another condo to stay at and said we could stay there. Jeff was mad, because we had already loaded the van and took most of the morning getting ready to leave.
We decided to give the kids the choice to stay one night at the motel with a pool, spend some "vacation" money, therefore do less on our vacation at the end of July, or stay a the condo for two nights and do fun stuff around the lake. The kids voted and decided they would rather go and stay one night at the motel and swim. So to the Best Western we went.
After some attitude adjustments (on daddy's part) we ended up having a great time at the BW.
The kids swam for 2 hours that afternoon, another hour that night, and another hour the next morning before checking out.
After all that swimming we were in bed (which no one had to sleep on the floor) and were asleep, except for me, by 9:30.
But even I turned off my flashlight and put my book up by 10:15.
Another highlight for Jeff and the kids, who all love food, is we got a FREE continental breakfast!
The kids were so excited at the variety of food and juices they got to choose from. They talked a mile a minute and I'm sure we were the center of attention in the breakfast area. All I was thinking is how could I, a night owl, be so lucky {said with sarcasm}, to be in a family of morning people. Couldn't they just be quiet and eat, while I had a chance to get my brain out of a fog.
That is why there are no pictures.

Holy cow, I would have been so stressed out and would have needed an attitude adjustment myself if I were in ya'lls shoes! Sounds like you made the best of the situation though and things worked out well. I'm so glad! :)
Going to the Best Western was a real blast at the end! And I'll have to admit I was one of the "morning people" who was in heaven on earth with that amazing continental breakfast! AWESOME!
